FAITH PART TWO

How does Faith Play a part in my life after becoming a Christian:

We start with saving Faith; where we believe Gods plan of salvation for our life. And after Salvation we live the christian life by faith.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 12:3b according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

God deals men a Measure of faith. And that faith grows stronger and stronger as we exercise that faith in christ. Just like our muscles, when we exercise them, they get stronger, if we don't, they get weaker,so does our faith.

In Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. (vs.6) And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

The Lord dosen't automatically give us more faith; faith is increased by hearing the word of God, believing that word and acting upon that belief.

How can we ever know if faith works or not, unless we try it. When we are faced with a crisis in our life that puts our faith to the test; the very next thing we do , declares what we really believe about God. Faith does work, I urge you to try your faith, just believe God and the promises he has made. The More we use our faith, the stronger it grows.

Remeber there's no need to doubt. Matthew 19 :26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

YOU MAY ASK WHY DO I NEED FAITH?
Here is three good reason to start with:
1. WITHOUT FAITH WE CANNOT PLEASE GOD.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: Faith is taking God at his word, when we don't have faith we are saying that God cannot do what he said he could do.

2. NOT HAVING FAITH IS SIN.
Romans 14:23b For Whatsoever is not of faith, is sin.

3. TO COMBAT THE WILES OF THE DEVIL.
He will try his very best to stop a person from believing in Christ. But if he cannot do that, he won't stop there, his next move will be to hinder your christian walk. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the Faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
vs.32a But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:

Here is more Scripture to help strengthen your Faith

Justification by faith:

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

A Defensive Weapon:

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Essential in Prayer:
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally. and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (vs.6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering: for he that wavereth is like a vace of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Other Scripture to read of Faith:
Read the entire Chapter of Hebrews 11, known as the Hall of Faith. See what all has been accomplished by Gods Children by Faith.

Read: Romans 4: 16-25. A great example of faith, from Abraham.
Read: Matthew 14:28-33 Peter walks to Jesus on the water,by Faith.

I encourage you to search the Scripture and find more on the Subject of Faith. May these Scripture help strengthen your walk with the Lord.
